Taking a leisurely walk or cycling in the neighborhood is enjoyable all year long. We especially recommend you to take a walk by the side of Lake Kawakuchiko, or take a cycling trip to "Iyashi no sato Nenba" by Lake Saiko.

Biking round Lake Kawakuchiko is a 21km ride, and around Lake Saiko is a 10km ride. From our pension to Lake Kawakuchiko is 2km in distance. We are 6km away from Lake Saiko. If you need to rent a bicycle, please make a reservation in advance.

Trekking Courses:
"Iyashi no sato Nenba" by Lake Saiko is 12km away from us. It is one of the most beautiful thatched roofing houses villages in Japan. We are 10km from Saiko Bat Cave, the largest lava cave at the foot Mt. Fuji. You can either walk or bike to these spots.

The "Retro Bus" leaving from Kawakuchiko Station tours around the lakeside of Lake Kawakuchiko.

Recommended Spot:

"Iyashi no sato Nenba", meaning the healing village, by Lake Saiko is a beautiful thatched roofing houses village, where one can have an opportunity to view historical-looking folk houses.

Mt. Fuji Climbing:

From Kawakuchiko Station, take a hiking bus to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji, the usual starting point of Mt. Fuji climbing.
